WRECK-IT RALPH 2 Photo Shows First Look at Disney Princesses

When the first footage from Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 was shown at D23 Expo in July 2017, fans in attendance got a glimpse at just how meta the movie was going to get. Ralph and Vanellope von Schweetz go into the internet to find a replacement part for Sugar Rush, and during a VIP tour, they visit Oh My Disney and run into a gaggle of Disney princesses. Vanellope can’t resist messing with them, and finally, via USA Today, an image of her crashing the princess party was released.

Let’s name the princess power in this room: Snow White, Jasmine, Cinderella, Pocahontas, Elsa (she’s a queen, technically), Moana, Anna, Rapunzel, Tiana, Aurora, and Belle. Whew. And they’re not pictured, but Ariel and Merida were in the footage at D23. Disney UK hints a new trailer is coming soon, so hopefully we’ll see pieces of this delightful introduction.

All the living actresses who voiced the princesses are reprising their role. Director Rich Moore told USA Today says the princesses sequence came from an online quiz that asked, “Are you an Anna or an Elsa?”

Vanellope ends up befriending the women in a slumber party style hangout. They drill Vanellope about her princess qualifications asking, “Do people assume all your problems got solved because a big, strong man showed up in your life?” Mm-hmm. Serve that tea to yourself, Disney.

Wreck-It Ralph 2 will arrive to theaters on November 21.

Which Disney princess do you think Vanellope will get along with best? How meta is this movie going to get? Share your thoughts in the comments.
