Here Are 3 Important Details You Might Have Missed In The WATCH DOGS: LEGION Trailer

E3, or the Electronic Entertainment Expo, is an annual event that delivers all of the big news in the world of gaming. Fans are treated to news and first looks at upcoming titles, and buzz is appropriately built around these properties. One of the big things we had our eye on this year was an update about Watch Dogs: Legion, the third installment in Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs series. The first game followed hacker Aiden Pearce as he free-roamed a fictional Chicago, seeking vengeance after the killing of his niece. The second game followed another hacker, this time in San Francisco. But what would the third game have in store?

We learned a lot at E3—namely, that the adventure series would let you play as just about anyone you encounter on the streets of London. Including… a deadly grandma. Yes, you heard that right. We talked about that and more in this special Watch Dogs: Legion episode of Nerdist News Edition.

Recruiting back-alley Londoners to your cause is just part of the fun Watch Dogs: Legion has to offer. We also learned that, as with previous versions of the game, the setting isn’t the London that we know in the real world. No, this London is a dangerous high-tech surveillance state full of jack-booted thugs, a corrupt private military corporation, greedy crime syndicates, and an ignorant government. And it’s also completely interactive. You can visit iconic landmarks, and also take part in side quests like bare-knuckle boxing, courier missions, and street art. In Watch Dogs: Legion, London isn’t just your destination: It’s also your weapon. Or, your “sandbox of destruction.”

We’ll have our eye on any updates to the game ahead of its official release date on March 6, 2020.
