The first trailer for A24’s undertone grabbed our curiosity with its chilling audio. And, of course, there were a few creepy images in there to bolster that creepy factor. This all came after I got a really weird email that I assumed was from a real yet strange podcast but was indeed a good bit of marketing. Now, there’s another trailer for undertone and it amps up the scares even more.
For those who aren’t familiar, this film follows the host of a popular paranormal podcast. But, unlike most people who do these kinds of explorations, she’s actually a deep skeptic. That changes when she gets a set of haunting recordings that cause her to start to wonder if the strange things going on around her and with her ailing mother are real or a figment of her imagination. There’s something that wants to be heard, and the trailer for undertone hints that it is not a friendly presence.
