After a sentient spork sent us into an existential crisis in Toy Story 4‘s first fantastic teaser, the second promo for the film features two new characters voiced by one of our all-time favorite comedy teams. And their introduction is inspired by one of their best sketches ever; Ducky and Bunny are Key and Peele‘s Pixar’s tribute to their Liam Neesons-loving valets. This hilarious second promo for the movie is a “reaction” to the first one, with new characters—carnival prizes Ducky (Keegan-Michael Key) and Bunny (Jordan Peele)—talking about about how much they love the Toy Story franchise and how excited they are there’s going to be a fourth entry. They then try to quote Buzz Lightyear’s famous catchphrase before Woody and Buzz show up to correct them.
“Woody’s journey in Toy Story 4 includes a visit to a carnival where he meets Ducky and Bunny, two carnival prizes who are eager to be won. But when their plans are rudely interrupted by Woody and his friends, they find themselves on an unexpected adventure with a group of toys who have no idea what it feels like to be tacked to a prize wall.”
And as though adding Key and Peele to a Toy Story movie wasn’t amazing enough, director Josh Cooley said in a statement they are “incredible actors that understand story,” which is why “their improvs weren’t just for comedy sake, they were story-motivated, which elevated Ducky and Bunny and the film to a level I never could have expected.â€
