Luv Letter Studios is changing the anime landscape one project at a time. The company, founded by Kennedy Freeman in 2023, provides opportunities for creatives in the animation space to use their skills on both major and indie projects. This also includes outsourcing resources for various positions from pre-production to post. Now, the studio is focusing on a brilliant new animated creative venture that just hit Kickstarter. Towards Galaxy’s End is infused with lots of magical girl power with a space vampire twist.
According to a press release, this story will have an energy “similar to that of Studio Trigger in terms of the upbeat nature and Kyoto Ani for the heart.” And, as you can see in Towards Galaxy’s End’s concept trailer, the characters and this world as a whole are gorgeous and vibrant.

After dying in a car accident, Ami is given a second chance at life under the condition she must return as an extinct species. She “chooses” a space vampire and upon finding out there’s 6 other girls like her, sets off to form a magical girl group.

Towards Galaxy’s End aims to bring fans 7 animated shorts and its Kickstarter offers several reward tiers. The release schedule is estimated between mid-late 2026, with ultimate plans for Spanish, Japanese, Russian, and French dub versions.
Freeman, who is also a showrunner, gave fans an update on March 1, revealing that the funding goal for the first short has been reached already. Now, the funding will go towards dubs as well other stretch goals.
