Sometimes, an amazing idea fails because of subpar execution. Even the most well-done, most earnest attempts at making something great can’t overcome a bad idea. But what happens when someone perfectly pulls off a perfect concept? You get this absolutely fantastic Tommy Boy/Shark Tank mashup that is so good it made Shark Tank a product with some actual value.
This pop culture crossover from Bell Brothers inserts Chris Farley and David Spade’s iconic failure in Tommy Boy to sell brake pads and turns it into an unsuccessful sales pitch on Shark Tank. That’s an idea so good it almost shouldn’t be able to live up to itself. But this is everything you’d hoped it would be and more. INot only does it seamlessly place Tommy and Richard on the reality show, it accurately captures the experience (derogatory) of watching the sharks needlessly stomp all over someone’s hopes and dreams.
That is exactly how we’d expect Kevin O’Leary to react to a nice young man having an emotional breakdown on television. (Seriously, imagine yelling at this poor guy. Holy schnikes, indeed.)

While this is our favorite video from Bell Brothers, this is far from the channel’s only amazing mashup. We’re big fans of seeing Batman dancing across film and television. The same is true of “All I Want for Christmas Is Home Alone,” and seeing Big Bird in music video version of Alfred Hitchock’s seminal horror movie.
Also, while this one should feel sacrilegious, nothing this good could ever be unholy.
Could anyone possibly sell the public on a Night of the Living Dead version of It’s a Wonderful Life? Sadly, we doubt it. But we sure wouldn’t mind seeing Tommy Boy try. Seeing his sales pitch for a movie that deranged is an idea that anyone would buy.
