If you want to see more DisneyOpens in a new tab costumes than you can count, you need only attend D23 ExpoOpens in a new tab for a day. Fans dress as characters and objects from Disney films, parks, games, and everything in between. With D23 Expo attendees walking around as popular characters from Star WarsOpens in a new tab and MarvelOpens in a new tab or deep cut references to theme park attractions and locales, you’re bound to be surprised and/or delighted.
I found myself making abrupt U-turns on the show floor to photograph ghosts from the Haunted MansionOpens in a new tab, Te Kā from MoanaOpens in a new tab, a Spider-ManOpens in a new tab and Little MermaidOpens in a new tab mash-up (Spider-Mermaid?), and a Dole Whip, among others. Since the Dole Whip is my favorite treat–yes, it’s food–at DisneylandOpens in a new tab, let’s start there:

Taking photos against certain walls at Disney ParksOpens in a new tab is a thing on social media (seriously, search for #bluewall or #bubblegumwall and you’ll see what I mean). Two of the most popular wall spots are the blue wall at Disney California Adventure and the bubblegum wall at Epcot. These clever cosplayers dressed as those two walls:
