It has been 16 years since Super Troopers debuted, and now we’re finally getting a follow up from State Police based out of Spurbury, VT in April of 2018. A new teaser was just released that you can watch right meow.
The long anticipated sequel to the cult comedy classic is headed to theaters with all the debauchery and probable full-frontal male nudity one could ever want or need. The film will center around a border dispute between the U.S. and Canada with the Super Troopers doing their best to run a new highway patrol station. The original cast–including Wonder Woman herself, Lynda Carter–will be returning in all their glory while Rob Lowe, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Will Sasso, and Tyler Labine will play Canadian police. The troopers–as one can expect–will probably run into some trouble along the way as Mac, Thorny, Foster, and Rabbit always seemed a bit more interested in messing with Farva than doing any actual police work. We’re betting Farva will finally order his liter of cola without any push-back on a trip across the border.Though we’ll have to wait until next year to see what shenanigans the guys get into, you can still get your Broken Lizard fix (or 40% of it) by listening to Chewin’ It with Kevin and Steve on the Nerdist Podcast Network hosted by Super Troopers stars Kevin Heffernan and Steve Lemme. What are your hopes for Super Troopers 2? Is it odd that they’re still hazing Rabbit after more than a decade? Do you think Jim Gaffigan’s character can ever catch a break? Let’s discuss in the comments below!Image: Fox Searchlight Pictures
