This Creator Turned Her Living Room Into STRANGER THINGS’ Hawkins

Nerds are always looking for ways to bring their favorite fictional worlds into their daily lives. Whether it’s rocking merch, decorating our desks with figures, or tossing in some casual cosplay into our daily wardrobe, there’s something comforting about showing off our love for fandom. But, there are some of us who have a ton of creativity, some cash to spare, and a lot of time and dedication to literally try to pull those universes from our screens and books into real life. Content creator and interior designer Julie Sousa went viral for creating an epic version of Stranger Things’ Hawkins in her living room.

She shared her masterpiece on Instagram, and it is clear why people are commenting and sharing it. Storm clouds, neon lights, and Christmas string lights abound to create a very comfy and cozy space. Check out some of the images straight from her page below.

Sousa did an exclusive interview with People Magazine, where she detailed her process to making a Stranger Things room and revealed she did it for less than $300 and in around 3 days. It took Joyce and Hopper longer to find Will in the Upside Down.
