With the recent full trailer for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, we got our first real glimpse of the show’s version of the Starship Enterprise. Sporting a retro-modern look, it’s all very evocative of the brightly colored 1960s aesthetic of the original series. We even see a few mini-skirts about, and several stylish boots. Well, soon Trekkers everywhere will be able to own their own versions of the Strange New Worlds boots, and walk the streets of Earth while pretending it’s Vulcan. Announced via the official website, the Star Trek brand is entering into a partnership with John Fluevog designer footwear. And together they are bringing these new Enterprising shoes to fans by the end of the year. Soon, you’ll be able to wear the same boots as Captain Pike, Spock, and Uhura do in Strange New Worlds.
According to the official description, “John’s Starfleet boot will soon be seen outfitting the Starfleet officers in the upcoming Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Extensions of John’s futuristic Manifold Family, the boots feature soft leather and elastic uppers with a leather harness and a gunmetal finished Star Trek delta insignia at the ankle.” Dare we say purchasing these shoes is the logical thing to do?
Star Trek fans will get an early preview of the Strange New Worlds boots during Star Trek: Mission Chicago. There, they’ll have the option as well as the option to pre-order Fluevog’s Star trek boots in grey or black. The convention is taking place April 8–10th, 2022. The boots will retail for $399 USD. The pre-sale will be available to those visiting the Fluevog booth during the show, and also online. After that, the new Starfleet boot officially becomes available later this year. All as a part of John Fluevog’s Fall/Winter ’22 collection, at Fluevog stores everywhere and online at Fluevog.com.
