Somehow, it has been nearly three long years since Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse left us with the cliffhanger of a lifetime. We are beyond ready to see Gwen and her crew of Spider folks go on a mission to rescue Miles from the wrong universe. Since then, we have been waiting for the sequel, Beyond the Spider-Verse, to arrive at theaters. After a few delays, the film is set to arrive on June 18, 2027. That still feels like a long way off, but CinemaCon 2026 just made Beyond the Spider-Verse seem a tiny bit closer.

Attendees got to see Chris Miller and Phil Lord take the stage along with Bob Persichetti and Justin K Thompson as the directors gave us a look at Beyond the Spider-Verse. They promised it would be a very emotional ending to this trilogy. The footage picks up right where the previous film left off, with Miles having to face himself and find his way out of being in the very wrong place.
We get to see more of this universe’s Miles, who is of course the Prowler. He’s not keen on letting our Miles go and then things get rather funny when the two Miles argue about how to pronounce their last names and what the heck a “Spider-Man” is. We see Miles get a little tricky and get a tease that he will make some new connections to become even stronger as a hero. We cannot wait to see how this epic trilogy ends and how it will set up the spinoff projects for Spider-Gwen and Spider-Punk.
