Sonic the Hedgehog 4 will be a masterpiece, just like the three films that came before it. We already know this despite the film not arriving until 2027. In fact, if we could buy our tickets now to support our favorite blue speedster, we’d do it. That’s not possible yet but at least Paramount Pictures is giving us a little something to make the wait feel worth it. Sonic the Hedgehog 4’s first teaser is a title reveal that promises a LOT more chaos in this world. Oh, and hello to Metal Sonic, whom game fans know quite well.
Of course, the title is not surprising to anyone. Why would the studio call it anything else? But we do get some glimpses of the characters along with a voiceover from a very-not-retired Jim Carrey, which means Eggman is still alive and up to shenanigans. Returning alongside him are James Marsden and Tika Sumpter for the live-action cast members.

Voice actors are Ben Schwartz as Sonic, Idris Elba as Knuckles, Colleen O’Shaughnessey as Tails, and Keanu Reeves as Shadow. Ben Kinsgley, Matt Berry, Richard Ayoade, and Nick Offerman are joining Sonic the Hedgehog 4’s cast in undisclosed roles. Kristen Bell will portray Amy Rose, a pink hedgehog joining our teams of adorable heroes.
Director Jeff Fowler also revealed via Instagram that the film is in production as of March 2026. We are ready for all the action, indeed.
