Scythe, from Stonemaier Games (Viticulture, Euphoria), is a tabletop 4X game (eXplore, eXpand, eXploit & eXterminate). Each player takes control of a country and their unique military commander. You’ll explore the land, make choices on how to treat the locals you encounter, and choose whether to reignite old wars or divide up the continent peacefully. You’ll claim new lands, farm, grow your worker population, gather resources, farm, optimize your industry to build powerful mechs to aid you in battle, and also farm. Scythe deftly balances the engine optimizing of a Euro style game with the combat and conflict of an Ameritrash game to make a wholly unique experience.
Join Inside the Box as they delve deeply into the steampunk 1920s, where giant mech warfare has ravaged the continent of Europa during the Great War. After a one-sided initial game, George gathers the group together to play the newest Scythe expansion, Invaders from Afar. Hana is inspired by her favorite video game, Overwatch, and decides that all-out mech warfare is the optimal strategy. Meanwhile, Jack, George, and Brandon contend with hostile farmers, horny mechs, and dangerous windmills to see who can reach the Factory first.

Inside the Box is a comedy tabletop game review series. Watch as they bring their favorite board games to life with a mix of visual FX, cinematic presentation, and an alarmingly immature sense of humor.
