In the world of pop culture, nothing is ever dead. No franchise truly ends forever, and there are no characters who can’t be brought back for another sequel… no matter how many times they were shot at the end of their previous film. It’s especially hard to keep a bunch of murdering psychopaths down when their movies have developed a cult following over the last 15 years, so we’re not even a little bit surprised that Rob Zombie is back with 3 from Hell, a follow-up to his violent horror series that started with 2003’s House of 1000 Corpses.
After a long wait following the franchise’s first sequel, 2005’s The Devil’s Rejects, the musician-turned-director is once again back with another installment of his ultra violent, ultra absurd family of killer lunatics. Despite that they appeared to have died in a storm of police bullets at the end of their last film, Sid Haig (Captain Spaulding), Bill Moseley (Otis), and Sheri Moon Zombie (Baby) are all back, having apparently survived their wounds. And according to Bloody Disgusting, where we first saw this teaser, Richard Brake (the original Night King on Game of Thrones) will star alongside the trio in the movie.
This brief teaser might not reveal much in the way of the movie’s plot, but obviously jail won’t be enough to stop the group’s reign of terror. And despite the world being a very different place than it was in the early 2000s when the first two films were released, we’re also sure the movie will be bloody, brutal, and bats*** crazy.
3 from Hell also stars Danny Trejo, Kevin Jackson, Wade Williams, Jeff Daniel Phillips, Clint Howard, Pancho Moler, Emilio Rivera, Daniel Roebuck, David Ury, Sean Whalen, Austin Stoker, Dee Wallace, Bill Oberst Jr., Richard Riehle, Dot-Marie Jones and Tom Papa.
