Prince Sidon from THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: BREATH OF THE WILD Has the Internet Hot and Bothered

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the WildOpens in a new tab is filled with a diverse cast of characters, but one in particular is getting a lot of attention at the moment: Prince SidonOpens in a new tab, a leader of the aquatic humanoid Zora race. Aside from being the best swimmer of his species, Sidon is personable, brave, optimistic, and is a positive role model for his people. Here is where players meet him for the first time in the game (spoilers ahead):

Aside from being a strong leader, Sidon is also becoming a bit of a heartthrob, for some reason (via KotakuOpens in a new tab). Maybe it’s his rippling muscles, his winning smile, or his classic pose. If having your own page on Know Your MemeOpens in a new tab is the true indicator of meme status, then Sidon has reached it. The internet is now teeming with Sidon fan art, with some of it imagining Link in a relationship with the red fishman, since he cheers Link on and offers the Hero of Time motivation throughout the game. Other meme makers are just cracking jokes about how beautiful he is.
