There have been many bright, shining stars in the history of pop music, but there were few who shone as bright as Prince. Now, we can all have our own little version of the Purple One in whom to find the funk whenever we need it, thanks to the good folks at Funko. The company is proud to announce Prince is joining the Pop! Rocks! series, which will celebrate Prince's amazing career with different versions of the multi-talented Minnesota native, each from a different music video representing a distinct era of his career.
The first Pop! Rocks! vinyl figure features Prince as he appeared in his iconic big screen debut in Purple Rain. A glittery version of Purple Rain-era Prince will be available exclusively at FYE stores.
Next, we have Prince wearing his baby blue suit with white fluffy clouds on it, which he wore in the iconic video for his 1985 hit song "Raspberry Beret."
And finally, a much more recent version of the iconic singer, from more recent albums HIT N RUN Phase One and Phase Two. Each of these figures will become available this fall.
Prince had no shortage of iconic hairstyles and wardrobe choices over the years, so this is a series Funko could be producing for a very long time and not run out of Prince looks to choose from. I know that personally, I'd love to see a "Kiss" version, and maybe even a "U Got The Look" Pop! Rocks! figure. But of course the best one they could ever produce would be a half Batmam/half Joker he wore in the a the video for "Batdance." There are very few artists who have as many iconic looks as His Royal Badness did.
Are you looking forward to bringing Prince to your home or office? And which iconic looks would you love to see next? Be sure to let us know down below in the comments.
