“We’re on a break.” Stede Bonnet, Gentleman Pirate, actually says that about his and Edward Teach’s relationship in the Our Flag Means Death season two trailer. Stede and Ed, a.k.a. Blackbeard, ended season one torn apart. Stede’s crew thinks Blackbeard is going to murder Stede for breaking his heart, but Stede, as ever, is more optimistic than that. He knows he should have been more open about his feelings, and you can tell he wants to make it up to Ed. Season two of Our Flag Means Death is about to explore a lot of break-up wallowing, piracy, fighting soldiers, and hopefully a grand gesture.
Our Flag Means Death Season Two Trailer
The Our Flag Means Death season two trailer shows Blackbeard is processing some emotions. He’s giving up booze, drugs, and Stede and trying to turn things around for himself. Ed even befriends a bunny. But then Stede comes back into Blackbeard’s life. All the while, a group of soldiers are trying to bring an end to piracy. And Stede and his crew? They seem as about as a competent as ever, which is to say, things will probably not go in their favor.
But what they lack in skill, Stede and his crew make up for in resilience. This found family always gets back on their feet. They usually look utterly fabulous while doing so, too.
Our Flag Means Death Season Two Premiere Date and Synopsis

Struggling to earn the respect of his potentially mutinous crew, Stede’s fortunes changed after a fateful run-in with the infamous Captain Blackbeard (Taika Waititi). To their surprise, the wildly different Stede and Blackbeard found more than friendship on the high seas…they found love. Now, they have to survive it.
