The Oscars will air on March 15, and we cannot wait to see who takes the top awards. With Sinners leading the pack with a record-setting 16 nominations, epic performances, and more, it will be the center of conversation on Monday morning. One thing that we are especially curious about is a Marvel reunion at this year’s Oscars. Executive producer Katy Mullan confirmed this information to The Hollywood Reporter, but didn’t say who would show up for this special segment.
“There’s also going to be a Marvel reunion for the superhero fans,” she said. “So we’re gonna have superstar superheroes, and there is also going to be an extraterrestrial on the stage. So you can figure that one out.”
This makes a lot of sense considering the MCU is gearing up for a major movie later this year. Avengers: Doomsday will mark the return of heroes we love like Steve Rogers, Thor, M’Baku, and more, along with RDJ portraying Doctor Doom. So we can expect to probably see some if not all of those actors on stage. Maybe it will be a brief skit or perhaps they will come out to present an award together.
Wouldn’t it be great if these genre actors gave out an award to an awesome genre film like Sinners? Nerds would totally be winning. We will have to wait and see how the Marvel reunion goes down at the Oscars.
