DC Universe’s DOOM PATROL Adds Matt Bomer as Negative Man

DC Universe weren’t messing around when it came to big reveals tonight at their world premiere for their first original series, Titans. The presentation was full of wild announcements, including a surprise visit from Robotman himself, Brendan Fraser! The Mummy star appeared on stage to announce an exciting new piece of casting news: Magic Mike XXL and American Horror Story’s Matt Bomer will be voicing Doom Patrol‘s Negative Man, as well as starring as his alias, US Air Force pilot Larry Trainor, in flashbacks.Bomer also sent a video message for fans at NYCC, and revealed the physical side of Negative Man will be brought to life by Matthew Zuk, while Bomer will provide the cult character’s voice. Bomer joins Fraser alongside Joivan Wade as Victor Stone/Cyborg, Timothy Dalton as Niles Caulder/The Chief, April Bowlby as Elasti-Woman, Diane Guerrero as Crazy Jane, and fan favorite Alan Tudyk as Mr. Nobody.This is another seriously interesting bit of casting for the unexpected DC Universe show. Doom Patrol are a relatively unknown quantity for anyone other than Grant Morrison fans or deep-cut comic book geeks, and this will be their first time being brought to the screen.
