Bill Skarsgård Is Creeping Us Out in the New CASTLE ROCK Trailer

Last year, Bill Skarsgård terrified moviegoers as Pennywise the Clown in the theatrical adaptation of Stephen King‘s It.

Later this month, Skarsgård is revisiting King country in Castle Rock, Hulu’s upcoming original series that will blend several aspects of the author’s famous novels into a new horror story. The latest trailer for Castle Rock has thrown the spotlight on Skarsgård’s new character, who is known only as “the Kid.” Someone locked him away deep in the bowels of Shawshank State Penitentiary, but there’s no record of his true identity and he doesn’t officially exist. If the following footage is any indication, it might be a good idea to keep this Kid behind bars.

The trailer also shines a spotlight on the main character, Henry Deaver (André Holland), an attorney who has returned to Castle Rock after several years away. There may be some deeper connection between Henry and the Kid, but so far, the Kid’s only offering enigmatic hints while the town falls prey to spooky omens.

Most of the story details are still under wraps, but the trailer does show off some of the series’ impressive cast, including Scott Glenn, Jane Levy, and Terry O’Quinn. Castle Rock‘s first three episodes will premiere on Wednesday, July 25. The remaining seven episodes of the first season will debut on Hulu weekly.
