It’s one of the most thrilling and memorable scenes in all of Star Wars. Two Force-sensitive opposers—Rey, drawn to the light, and Kylo, drawn to the dark—enter the red throne room of Supreme Leader Snoke. The shriveled, evil lord has his hooks in Kylo, both of them members of the autocratic First Order; Rey is their prisoner. Snoke reads Kylo’s mind and see’s him striking down his “true enemy,” but in a surprise twist, that enemy isn’t Rey, but Snoke himself. Just then, Kylo uses the Force to cut through his master and teams up with Rey to take down Snoke’s praetorian guards.
If you’re like us, the throne room fight scene from Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi is one of your favorite scenes in the saga, and now it’s being immortalized as a beautiful piece of artwork from Rory Kurtz. This Mondo exclusive poster, titled “True Enemy,” captures the precise moment when Rey and Kylo join forces to attack the guards, and even features that infamous “thigh grab.” The bold red of the throne room backdrop and the burst of glowing light from the lightsabers makes for a stunning print.
