Marvel Villainous is a strategic card game for two to four players ages 12 and up. It pits villains against heroes. Naturally, as you’re playing villains, this isn’t a cooperative game. Instead, it’s a no holds barred throwdown to be the one to reach your own nefarious goal first. Beloved Marvel heroes like Captain America and Thor will try to stop you along the way. It will take cunning and ruthlessness to win it all. You’ll have to embrace that supervillain attitude.
The game begins with each player selecting their supervillain. Thanos, Hela, Ultron, Killmonger, and Taskmaster are at your fingertips to command. Each character comes with their own goal and abilities. Grab their mover, booklet, and game board to complete the simple setup.

On each turn, you’ll move your villain to a new place in their domain and play a card from your hand. You might also choose a card from the Fate deck to use against a fellow supervillain and thwart their plans—not out of the goodness of your heart, but to keep them from reaching their goals before you do.
If you’ve played a Villainous game before, you’ll recognize the gameplay style, but it’s fresh and Marvel-ous enough to make this edition a standout. The addition of the Infinity Stones deck and Event cards add different dimensions to the game.
And we just have to take a moment to gush about the gorgeous artwork on each card. The biggest heroes and locations of the Marvel universe are here, of course, but the game goes past MCU references. It features characters and places that will make fans of the comic books pause to admire. Wonder Man, She-Hulk, Mockingbird, Balder, Okoye, and even Adam Warlock are just some of the lesser-known heroes these villains might face.
Marvel Villainous is planned for release on July 26 at a suggested retail price of $34.99. You can pre-order now at Target.
