THE LORD OF THE RINGS Meets THE MUPPETS in This Epic Mashup

What are two great tastes that taste great together? The Lord of the Rings and The Muppets. At a glance, it may not seem like these two properties have much in common. But underneath the surface, both these franchises revolve around friendship, love, and a grade A team.

This Lord of the Rings meets The Muppets mashup perfectly brings that idea to life.

Creator JP Kloess shares this about the video in its description:

The audio from The Muppets lip synced to The Lord of the Rings. (The title kind of sums it up.)

Enough said, we guess, but it really does look very convincing. The Lord of the Rings scenes take on a much lighter note as the Muppets’ voices shine through them. Some happy music, and exciting “yeah”s later, and it’s practically a comedy. The best scene in our opinion? A reverse of Aragorn’s epic door opening scene. But this time, it looks like he’s bowing out of the scene.

“Sorry, I was super excited.” He offers in Gary’s voice.

Of course, a level of the drama is still retained. Now it just has some sound effects which sound a little more puppety than before. Well, we think it works. All Muppets are super talented, after all.

Aragorn also shows up as Kermit to share words of wisdom such as, “Maybe you don’t need the whole world to love you, you know? Maybe you just need one person.” Honestly, this video features The Muppets’ greatest quotes and The Lord of the Rings‘ best scenes. And they all get mashed up into one strange, but great mixture.

As Kloess says. It kind of speaks for itself. Press play and enjoy the show. We know we will. Again and again and again. Kermit, Aragorn, Frodo, Miss Piggy, and Sam all think it’s the best video ever. Maybe Amazon’s upcoming The Lord of the Rings series can take some notes from this video.
