It’s no secret that the Academy-Award winning KPop Demon Hunters is a huge hit with fans of all ages. Sure, those of us with kids tuned in to watch HUNTR/X slay on and off the stage. But most of us must admit that we enjoyed this film just as much as the younger ones, if not even more. I certainly cannot wait for the sequel to arrive in a couple of years. For now, McDonald’s knows how much we dig KPop Demon Hunters, so the fast food giant has packed two dueling adult meals to satisfy our taste buds. It’s a fight between the oh-so-suave Saja Boys and HUNTR/X, and I must say that I was able to pick a clear winner.

First, let’s get into what each meal contains. If you’re trying to grab breakfast, you can pull up right now and turn up the heat with the Saja Boys Breakfast Meal. It includes a spicy take on McDonald’s sausage McMuffin, complete with a spicy mayonnaise based sauce. You’ll also get a delicious crispy hashbrown and a small “Soda Pop” (hehe) to complete your meal. I did wish that there was a little something extra with this meal, like some sort of spicy sauce to dip that crispy hashbrown into.
Admittedly, the McMuffin is not the breakfast sandwich that has my heart when I pull under those Golden Arches. I love the McGriddle. But this sandwich wasn’t bad. I love a lot of spice so I was hoping for more kick, perhaps with a spicier version of the sausage patty. It comes in an adult sized box and includes two photocards, which contain codes that you can put into your McDonald’s app by April 26 to unlock content and see the reveal of the Battle of the Fans winner.
There are also photocards in the HUNTR/X lunch meal, too. This one was an all-around clear winner in my heart for several reasons. First, you truly cannot go wrong with a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets. They are truly one of the most blessed food creations on Earth. There are two dipping sauces in this meal: a sweet and spicy Hunter Sauce and a purple Demon Sauce, which tasted very honey mustard like. I liked both sauces a lot, but there was something about that Hunter Sauce that just really worked for me.
The HUNTR/X Meal comes with a medium fry and a McShaker bag to combine them with its Rameyon seasoning. I don’t know what’s in that seasoning, and I do not care. It is delicious and I’d like for McDonald’s to package it and sell it, please. So, so darn tasty.
This meal not only comes with a medium drink but also a delightful Derpy McFlurry. Here’s how McDonald’s describes this sweet treat:
Available à la carte, this first-of-its-kind McFlurry blends creamy vanilla soft serve with blackberry popping pearls and wild berry sauce, inspired by everyone’s favorite Derpy Tiger.
I had to put my Derpy McFlurry in the freezer for a bit because eating both of these meals had me full. But, when I did get to try it for dessert, it was a delightful treat. Not too sweet and a whole new flavor pop with the blackberries. It is yet another thing that I want McDonald’s to never, ever stop selling.

Overall, the HUNTR/X Meal absolutely bests the Saja Boys Breakfast Meal, but they both represent McDonald’s continued creativity in bringing new culinary ventures to customers. Both meals are available right now, so head out and give them a try!
