John Wick’s travels across the world have shown the High Table’s global reach. Countless people in all corners of the planet “serve” under the criminal empire. But no matter how many of the organization’s assassins and employees we’ve met along the way, every movie in the franchise has revolved around Baba Yaga himself. Now that’s about to change. Ana de Armas is taking center stage in the series’ first cinematic spinoff. And the latest look at Ballerina, debuted during Lionsgate’s Fire vs Ice Trailer Launch, shows why every trained killer has to learn their own moves if they want to survive. Especially because John Wick might come looking for you.
The Ruska Roma, the same group that trained John Wick, is ready to send another highly-skilled assassin out into the world. This time it’s Ana de Armas’ Eve Macarro, who will embark on mission of vengeance that will force her fellow Ruska Roma member, John Wick, to come calling. The Kikimora’s quest to know the truth threatens a war that will be bad for business.
But that should be a whole lot of fun for viewers. After four smash hit movies in the main franchise, we’re obviously big fans of assassins who bow to no one, not when righteousness demands they stand up.

Ballerina comes from director Len Wiseman (Live Free or Die Hard) with a script from Shay Hatten (John Wick Chapters 3 & 4). It will mark the return of service under the High Table of Ian McShane, Anjelica Huston, the late Lance Reddick, and, as this trailer makes very clear, Keanu Reeves. (If you’re wondering how he’s here at all Ballerina takes place between John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and Chapter 4.) The film also stars franchise newcomers Norman Reedus, Gabriel Byrne and Catalina Sandino Moreno.
This week Lionsgate also released new stills from the film. They feature both old faces and new alike.

Ballerina dances onto cinema’s stage this summer on June 6, 2025. If this trailer is any sign, Ballerina will have all the right moves to be another John Wick franchise hit.
