Joe Manganiello Guest Stars in the First Episode of CelebriD&D on Alpha

Powered by Geek & Sundry

Have you ever been delighted to discover that your favorite stars share some of your geek passions? It’s something that we’ve encountered many times before, as our celebrity guests share stories about how they grew up playing tabletop role playing games. Now, Geek & Sundry and Nerdist are teaming up for CelebriD&D, a new series on Alpha that will bring in celebrity guests to play alongside the best Dungeons and Dragons players on our roster.

The first episode of CelebriD&D is live on Alpha, and it features Critical Role stars  Marisha Ray and Taliesin Jaffe, with Dungeon Master Matthew Mercer alongside Nerdist’s Jessica Chobot and Dan Casey, as they welcome special guest  Joe Manganiello. You may remember Manganiello from his long stint on True Blood, as well as both Magic Mike films and his upcoming turn as Deathstroke the Terminator in the next Batman movie. At heart, Manganiello is a lifelong gamer just like us, and he’s joining the CelebriD&D for a short campaign.

For the first episode, Manganiello and his party find themselves in an abandoned temple while looking for an ancient relic. But it certainly won’t be easy! Mercer’s going to throw a lot of obstacles in the path of these adventurers, and not everyone is guaranteed to make it out of the temple intact. Along the way, an epic tale will unfold and you can watch a preview for the episode here!

To watch the entire episode of CelebriD&D, you will have to sign up for Alpha at  projectalpha.com. But the good news is that you can try Alpha with a 30-day free trial, and check out all of the other original programming created by the Geek & Sundry team in association with our Nerdist colleagues. Future guests of CelebriD&D will be announced at a later date, but you can ready for more adventures as an Alpha subscriber.
