It's no surprise that we get to see familiar faces from the Supernatural family on Richard Speight Jr. and Rob Benedict's show, Kings of Con. We already gave you a Nerdist exclusive of Misha Collins' role on the show--cooking with a monkey called Angus, because why the hell not? And while it's great to see God, Gabriel, and Castiel hanging out in the Kings of Con-verse, I think it's safe to say most of the Supernatural family was hoping to also see our two favorite hunters pop up in an episode of Kings of Con.
And thanks be to Chuck, Supernatural stars Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles have made their official Kings of Con debut. Much like Speight and Benedict play fictionalized version of themselves working the convention scene, Padalecki and Ackles play a fictionalized version of themselves. Two actors named Justin and Jaden (because even in this fictional world, they still need to be able to be called J2). Of course, Justin and Jaden seem to have a pretty terrible memory when it comes to co-stars on their show. As Rich and Rob are hanging around the convention they're appearing at, the two try to say hello to Justin and Jaden...who immediately take them for two fans looking for photo ops, and then misidentify Rich and Rob as caterers from the show, even going as far to call Rob "God of the Griddle". I mean, that's hilarious and totally a nickname I'd be proud to own, but you'd think you'd remember the guy who played God on your show, right? Regardless, the interaction is priceless, and it's fun to watch Padalecki and Ackles poke fun at themselves.
