INVINCIBLE Debuts Season 4 Teaser, Adds Lee Pace to the Cast

Invincible fans had to wait a long time, two and a half years, between the first and second seasons. Luckily, the wait was somewhat less between seasons two and three. But at NYCC, we learned that the wait for the upcoming fourth season of the animated adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s ultra-violent and referential superhero comic book won’t be that long. At the con, Prime Video revealed the new teaser trailer for season four, and a release date of March, 2026. This hilarious meta teaser sees Invincible/Mark Grayson and Atom Eve in a Burger Mart in a destroyed cityscape, talking about their plans for the show’s future. Voice cast members Steven Yeun, Gillian Jacobs, and co-creator/co-showrunner Robert Kirkman revealed the teaser at New York City Comic Con. In addition, they revealed the news that Foundation actor Lee Pace will join the series as Thragg. The character is the primary antagonist of Invincible in the original comic. He is the most powerful Viltrumite, and current Grand Regent of the alien Viltrum Empire. He took over following the death of the first Emperor, and only desires that the Viltrumite mission succeed, making it the only empire in the known universe. Trained from birth for this role, Thragg “rules his people through strength, cruelty, and will – determined to restore Viltrum to its previous glory at any cost.”

Prime Video

The third season of Invincible is Prime Video’s most-watched animated season of all time. The show only grew in popularity as fans discovered the show during its two-year hiatus. The original comic book by The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman lasted 144 issues over fifteen years. So there is plenty of material to pull from for not just season five, but for several more seasons. In the meantime, the first three seasons of Invincible are available to watch on Prime Video.
