Retirement? It might be nice and quiet. But we all know in our hearts it’s not really for Indiana Jones. How can Indiana Jones put his adventuring days behind him when mischievous goddaughters are running around causing trouble? Or when evil quasi-Nazi forces are threatening the world? And, most importantly, how can Indiana Jones settle down for good without his treasure of a lifetime? The latest trailer for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny promises one last great adventure, one that’s apparently been a life-long quest for Indiana Jones. Take a look.
We finally get to learn more about the mysterious “Dial of Destiny” that features in this Indiana Jones movie. It looks like the artifact can turn back time. Mads Mikkelsen’s Voller wants to use it to correct what he deems to be the mistakes of the Nazis. But it’s hard to know what that means. He’ll have to cross Indiana Jones’ whip, though, in order to carry out his evil plans. Indy has it swinging in this Dial of Destiny trailer, and we know he’s fully back. As for why Indiana Jones has looked for the Dial of Destiny his whole life, we can’t say for sure.
But one thing we can say is that Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny looks like it will give us that perfect bite of nostalgia. It will offer what we love about Indiana Jones and take us back through his greatest hits. We feel the emotion welling already. Additionally, we can’t wait to see Indy in a gruff dad role that is so popular right now. We can already tell he’s going to be (first a mess) but then great at it.
