I THINK YOU SHOULD LEAVE Gets Renewed for Season 2!

Though language is ever-changing and every passing year introduces new turns of phrase into the greater lexicon, 2019 has been particularly fruitful in this regard. You may have noticed an uptick in the prevalence of terms like “mud pie” and “tuna can,” and with brand new contexts baffling to even the most studied of native English speakers, likewise the surge of yet unfamiliar idioms like “turbo time” and—forgive my crassness—”slurping down pig dicks.” For this, we have I Think You Should Leave to thank; Netflix’s newest sketch comedy series has not only provided an abundance of laughs, but also the sort of weird-as-hell lines that make for the perfect reference fodder. And there’s more to come!

Netflix on June 19 announced that I Think You Should Leave, which hit the streaming site in April in the form of a single batch of six 15-ish-minute-long episodes, has now been renewed for a second season. Creator and star Tim Robinson and co-creator Zach Kanin are officially slated to launch the next go-’round for the delightfully demented show, with series director Akiva Schaffer (of Lonely Island fame) expected to return as well.

Needless to say, we’re happy. But how best to express such glee? Well, there are a few choice terms that we think might communicate this joy better than we ever could in our own words…

But of course, sometimes, the best thing to say is nothing at all…

There’s no announcement yet on specifically when the second season of I Think You Should Leave will hit Netflix, though we know it will be some time in 2020. Can you hold out another year to experience the next top-of-the-line product from TC Tuggers, the continued adventures of Chunky, and the upstairs of the Garfield house? Be strong.
