A few months ago, it seemed like the Holes Disney+ series was truly starting to come together. The pilot was in progress, the cast was set with detailed character descriptions, and Agatha All Along’s showrunner Jac Schaeffer would direct the first episode. Now, it’s over before it ever began. Deadline reports that the Holes Disney+ series is cancelled. That’s right, we won’t see a single episode of this series.

It is not clear why the show got the axe or if there’s a chance to shop it to another streaming service or not. That’s not likely considering the Holes original film was a Disney production. This version would have featured a girl leading character named Hayley who was sent to a detention camp to dig holes for a strange reason. We guess 2025 couldn’t end without yet another series getting cancelled, and it is sad that Disney+ didn’t give Holes a chance.
