Henry Cavill’s journey as the star of a new Highlander reboot film has been quite the journey. The ridiculously handsome thespian injured himself last fall on set and posted pictures of his recovery. Honestly, he looked better than most people on their best day. But, he healed from his injuries and now he’s back to work on set. Cavill gave his Instagram followers a little peek into this Highlander film and what he looks like as the immortal Connor MacLeod with some first look photos.
He posted the following message alongside two images: “Happy First Look for Highlander! This has been quite the journey for me, which I’ll tell you all about when the time is right, but it’s a special moment to be able to share this. I hope you enjoy.”
The film’s cast is stacked, including Dave Bautista as The Kurgen, Karen Gillan as MacLeod’s mortal wife Heather, and Jeremy Irons as another antagonist. And, John Wick director Chad Stahelski will be behind the camera directing this Highlander reboot. It all sounds like this should be a banger. Right now, there’s no release date for Highlander but we can hold onto these first look photos with Henry Cavill rocking a very fly coat.
