If you’re not watching the steamy series Heated Rivalry on HBO Max, chances are, you know someone who is. And they are likely mildly obsessed with it. (We count ourselves among the obsessed.) The series, about two male pro hockey players who carry on a secret affair for years before falling madly in love, has made overnight stars of its two lead actors, Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams. Now, an almost unrecognizable Hudson Williams gets in full Nosferatu-style makeup for a role in a music video. Count Orlock is as far as one can get from Canadian hockey star Shane Hollander. The video is for the band Love Lucille’s song “Lights On,” which you can watch down below:
Williams is channeling the original silent version of Nosferatu for this video, not the recent Robert Eggers movie with Bill Skarsgård. So, we can safely say this definitely does not fall into the “sexy vampire” category. Yet somehow, this has us thinking that Williams needs to play a sexy vampire in something. We are currently in a bit of a sexy vampire drought at the moment. The Vampire Lestat doesn’t premiere until summer, and who even knows when the new Buffy the Vampire Slayer revival is arriving. We need him to star in a bigger vampire project, ASAP.

Heated Rivalry fans are having a ball commenting on the Love Lucille music video online. One person said in a post that Williams looks like “A yassified Uncle Fester.” Ok, we admit, we can see it. Others are saying that now that Williams has done a vampire video, Connor Storrie needs to go full bloosucker for one too. If he were to do a Lestat homage in some capacity? Then we are pretty sure both the Interview with the Vampire and Heated Rivalry fandoms would lose their collective minds. Someone out there needs to make that happen already.
