It’s the time of year when Globe-trotting takes on a new meaning, as something you can do from your couch rather than all over the world. It’s arguably the best awards broadcast of the year because everyone treats it like a big ol’ party and worries less about preparing the perfect speech and more about who’s going to be a good sport or off-script. Yes, it’s Golden Globes time! Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh aren’t likely to be as roasty with the humor as some of the show’s previous hosts (Oh has a decent shot at winning while hosting, however), but you can count on a fun time even if the Hollywood Foreign Press occasionally fails to award your particular favorite. We will be updating this post with the winners as the evening progresses, and rooting hard for Black Panther. And here we go!Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy: Michael Douglas, The Kominsky MethodBest Motion Picture – Animated: Spider-Man: Into the Spider-VerseBest Performance by an Actor in A Television Series – Drama: Richard Madden, BodyguardBest Television Series – Drama:Â The AmericansBest Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television: Ben Whishaw, A Very English ScandalBest Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television: Patricia Arquette, Escape at DannemoraThe Carol Burnett Award for Lifetime Achievement in Television: Carol BurnettBest Original Score – Motion Picture: Justin Hurwitz, First ManBest Original Song – Motion Picture: “Shallow,” A Star Is BornBest Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture: Regina King, If Beale Street Could TalkBest Performance by an Actress in A Television Series – Drama: Sandra Oh, Killing EveBest Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture: Mahershala Ali, Green BookBest Screenplay – Motion Picture: Green BookBest Motion Picture – Foreign Language: RomaBest Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy: Christian Bale, ViceBest Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television: Patricia Clarkson, Sharp ObjectsBest Performance by an Actor in a Limited Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television: Darren Criss, The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime StoryCecil B.
