The beautiful part of being a fan of Avatar: The Last Airbender is that there are always new nooks and crannies of the world to explore, and so many mediums through which to do it. One of our favorite ways to immerse ourselves in the world we love so much is through Dark Horse Comics series of Avatar: The Last Airbender stories, created in collaboration with Avatar Studios and Avatar: The Last Airbender co-creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. The newest of these tales is Avatar: The Last Airbender—Kyoshi Warriors, which will tell its story through three monthly single-issue comics. And you guessed it will focus on everyone’s favorite gal Suki and the other Kyoshi Warriors. This time, we’re going back into the original Avatar: The Last Airbender‘s timeline and seeing just how the Kyoshi Warriors came to help the mainland Earth Kingdom. To get you excited for this next ATLA comic series, it’s Nerdist‘s pleasure to exclusively reveal a first-look inside of Avatar: The Last Airbender—Kyoshi Warriors. Below are five excellent pages for you to enjoy.

Exclusive First Look Pages From Avatar: The Last Airbender—Kyoshi Warriors
Those who have watched the Avatar: The Last Airbender cartoon will recall that Suki and the Kyoshi Warriors lived in great isolation on their island for a long time. But after encountering Aang, Sokka, and the Gaang, Suki and her friends decided it was time to help the greater Earth Kingdom with its efforts against the Fire Nation’s invasion. Eventually, Sokka, Suki, and the rest reunite in the major city of Ba Sing Se. Other Avatar: The Last Airbender comics tell more of Suki’s story. But regardless of how much you’ve dove into the legend of our favorite Kyoshi Warrior, Avatar: The Last Airbender—Kyoshi Warriors is going to tell one story you don’t want to miss.
In this comic series, as we see in our five exclusive first-look pages from Avatar: The Last Airbender—Kyoshi Warriors, the Kyoshi Warriors have left home and are TRYING to help out the rest of their Kingdom. But after such a long absence, it’s no easy task to regain trust and appreciation. But if anyone can do it, we bet it’s the smart and resourceful Suki. We love this gaggle of gals and ostrich-horses already! And the last of our five exclusive pages leaves us eager to know what comes next.
