After last month’s crazy episode of Chicken Shop Date with Andrew Garfield, I didn’t know if I was prepared for another episode. By the way, just like the rest of the internet, I am still not over the chemistry between Garfield and host Amelia Dimoldenberg, but luckily, the newest episode is not with another human. I was ecstatic to see that Chicken Shop Date‘s newest guest was everyone’s favorite New York native. The outspoken, rock-hating, three-and-a-half-year-old red monster: Elmo!

Dimoldenberg’s newest episode of her popular talk show, where she and her guest eat fried chicken together, is charmingly sweet as she sits down with the muppet Elmo. Highlights from the episode include when Elmo’s archnemesis, Rocco, makes a surprising appearance. Of course, as usual, Rocco is useless and just tries to take away the spotlight from Elmo. We also got confirmation that Elmo does, in fact, blink, but it’s so quick you can’t see it with the naked eye.
My biggest takeaway from this episode is that for a three-and-a-half-year-old, Elmo is insanely profound. Amelia asks Elmo, “What’s more important to live, to laugh, or to love?”
And what’s Elmo’s answer? Well, it is something that we could all be reminded of once in a while. “They’re kind of all the same thing…You can’t live if you don’t love, you can’t laugh if you don’t live, and you can’t love if you don’t laugh,” said Elmo.
I have to say I agree with Elmo. It really is Elmo’s World.
