MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS LEGO Set Is a Monster Collectible

The first trailer for Marvel’s Multiverse of Madness showed Doctor Strange saving the universe from himself. But that’s not the only enemy the sorcerer will battle in director Sam Raimi’s horror film. His old mentor-turned-foe Baron Mordo is back. And the trailer also features Strange squaring off with a giant one-eyed tentacled monster. You don’t have to wait for the film to know what it’s like to face that massive creature though. You can fight it yourself right now, with a new Doctor Strange vs. Gargantos LEGO showdown set.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will bring Marvel Comics’ sea monster to the big screen. In the trailer it’s not terrorizing the oceans though. He’s haunting the streets of New York City. However, it doesn’t matter where you live, land or sea, you can now build him yourself. LEGO’s new 264-piece “play-and-display” set stands over 4.5-inches tall, 12-inches wide, and 10-inches deep. That’s a whole lot of Gargantos, whose jointed tentacles you can position as you like. So you can even have him waving hello if you’re looking for some multidimensional friendship instead of a showdown.

The LEGO set also comes with three minifigures and Doctor Strange has a removable cape. The current Sorcerer Supreme, Wong, is also along for the ride. (We swear that’s Wong. At least, that’s what LEGO says. Maybe that’s Wong from another dimension?) And MCU newcomer America Chavez is also here to fight this nightmare. Xochitl Gomez will play Chavez in the movie, and her inclusion in this set is no surprise. She’s expected to play a big role in the movie.

Despite the terrifying creature that gives the set its name, the collection is designed for ages eight and up. And whether you want it for yourself or your kids, you can buy it right now. It’s available at LEGO’s online shop for $29.99. At least that’s what you can buy in this universe. In some other dimensions this is a Baron Mordo Showdown set. That one is fun, but not nearly as cool as a giant monster. Though Wong at least looks like himself.
