Crunchyroll Announces New Price Changes, Effective Immediately

For twenty years now, Crunchyroll has been the premiere subscription service for anime fans everywhere. But as with most streaming platforms, price changes and increases are just part of the deal. Starting on February 2, Crunchyroll has announced plans to update pricing across its Fan, Mega Fan, and Ultimate Fan membership tiers in the United States. The following price changes will be reflected for existing monthly paid subscription tiers in the U.S. after March 4, 2026. The Ultimate Fan Tier will increase from $15.99/month to $17.99/month. Fan Tier will increase from $7.99/month to $9.99/month. And the Mega Fan Tier will increase from $11.99/month to $13.99/month.

Also, for a limited time, Crunchyroll members can upgrade to the Fan Annual Plan for $66.99 for one year. That delivers an effective monthly rate of $5.58/month when paid annually. This adjustment is actually the first price increase for Crunchyroll’s Fan Tier in the United States since 2019. So it’s been seven years almost, which really isn’t too bad. Especially compared to how often other subscription services change their pricing. Currently, Crunchyroll carries over 50,000 individual episodes, 25,000 hours, and 2,000 series and films in its library. This is alongside music videos, concerts, games, and a whole lot more.

The Fan Tier has ad-free viewing and full access to Crunchyroll’s library. It also has the ability to download content for offline viewing on one device. The Mega Fan Tier has the same ad-free viewing, as well as the ability to stream on four devices at a time, and the ability to download content for offline viewing in HD. Not to mention full access to the Crunchyroll Game Vault. And finally, Ultimate Fan Tier has all of that, and access to hundreds of Manga titles with Crunchyroll Manga. It also allows users to stream on six devices at a time. For more information, be sure to head on over to the official Crunchyroll site.
