CRITICAL ROLE Announces New EXANDRIA UNLIMITED Miniseries

Powered by Geek & Sundry

Critical Role has explored several corners of Exandria in its campaigns. The world Matt Mercer created for his Dungeons & Dragons games has grown and expanded over the years. Exandria has a rich history, full of juicy worldbuilding details and entertaining NPCs. And now Critical Role has announced a mini-series that will bring even more to the table: Exandria Unlimited: Calamity. This four-part mini-series goes back in time and takes place during the final moments of the Age of Arcanum. The trailer hints at what’s ahead.

Exandria Unlimited: Calamity‘s synopsis adds to the excitement.

Game Master Brennan Lee Mulligan guides players Luis Carazo, Aabria Iyengar, Marisha Ray, Sam Riegel, Travis Willingham, and Lou Wilson as six distinguished heroes from the Age of Arcanum uncover an insidious corruption beneath a city that they’ve sworn to protect. This is a story where Exandria’s greatest heroes could not – or would not – see the truth before it was too late… as an inevitable CALAMITY nears.

That all sounds quite dramatic. As the second age of Exandria, the Age of Arcanum is set about 1,500 years before the events of Critical Role. So they’re digging way back into the world’s past. Legends about this era speak of a battle whose effects mark Exandria to this very day. So, we can’t wait to see what this exploration uncovers and we also can’t wait to meet this new group of heroes. Even if it does mean taking a little time away from Critical Role‘s currently ongoing third campaign.
