Visit the BOXLUNCH BODEGA in NYC for Fandom Fun, Exclusive Merch, and More

If you’re any kind of fandom-loving nerd, then you probably own more than one piece of BoxLunch’s excellent creations. Fandom has been around for generations, but in recent years, being a nerd has increasingly become something to celebrate. And brands like BoxLunch have led the way in making sure you can proudly and easily represent your favorite fandom in stylish and creative ways. Incredibly, BoxLunch is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. That’s 10 years of honoring the fannish spirit with everything from sweaters to home goods. Not to mention, BoxLunch has tapped into fandom’s wonderful, communal power to donate meals to Feeding America for every $10 spent. That’s 265 million meals and counting. In short, a lot to celebrate. But what’s a celebration without a party? If you’ll be in NYC this October, you can indulge your love of all things fandom at BoxLunch’s Boxlunch Bodega—a one-day immersive experience full of treats that you won’t want to miss.

The bodega is an NYC staple. And the BoxLunch Bodega will bring all the energy of your favorite corner store and blend it with the infectious cheer of fandom. On October 10th, you can visit this bodega-inspired pop-up from BoxLunch at 213 Bowery in Manhattan’s Lower East Side and spend the day indulging in all things fannish.

What exactly will you find at the BoxLunch Bodega, though? Well, a release shares, “Open to the public, fans can expect to shop limited-edition anniversary merchandise. Additionally, they can bring in their favorite BoxLunch pieces to have customized at the on-site customization stations, showcasing creativity, community, and the brand’s commitment to giving back. Guests can also personalize BoxLunch totes with patches and illustrations, as well as purchase exclusive studio varsity jackets inspired by BoxLunch’s partner production studios. True to the bodega experience, the vibrant space will also be stocked with surprises, exclusive sales, personalized keepsakes, and photo-worthy moments.”

And yes, those totes are free BoxLunch Bodega swag, available while supplies last!

While the BoxLunch Bodega will take place on October 10, which is the Friday of New York Comic Con, it does NOT require an NYCC badge to attend. All are welcome at the bodega, as is good and right!

Now, we can’t reveal all of the BoxLunch Bodega surprises, but Nerdist can exclusively offer you a look at the DC, WB, and Disney studio varsity jackets that will be available at the event—as well as give you another look at the Lucasfilm variety. These are some pretty cool pieces of fandomwear if you ask us. They’ll be exclusively available on-site for fans visiting the BoxLunch Bodega, and that will be the first and only chance to see them in person while supplies last. The jackets will again be available at a later date, only on BoxLunch.com.

To recap, that’s your chance to snag exclusive merchandise, enjoy some cool upcycling opportunities, and visit special customization stations for your fandom goodies. The BoxLunch Bodega sounds like a great time to us.

Once again, the BoxLunch Bodega is a one-day only, free immersive experience that will take place on Friday, October 10, 2025, from 11 AM – 6 PM. It will be located at 213 Bowery, New York, NY 10002. The BoxLunch Bodega does not require an NYCC badge. So, if you’re looking for something fun and free to do in NYC, look no further.

Those who won’t be able to attend in person can still celebrate 10 years of fannish fun with BoxLunch, though. Throughout October, fans can follow @BoxLunchGifts on Instagram for the chance to enter and win some incredible giveaways. With 10 different giveaways in total, fans will be able to enter to win exciting trips to Japan, London, New Zealand, Hawaii, and more, as well as amazing prize packs and unique experiences.

We always say, there’s no party like a fandom party. We’ll see you at the BoxLunch Bodega. Here’s to a million more fandom shirts and the next million meals donated.
