Watch Bowen Yang’s Emotional Final Sketch on STATURDAY NIGHT LIVE

On December 20, 2025, Bowen Yang performed his final sketches on Saturday Night Live as a regular cast member. He’s been a key part of the comedic cast for 6.5 seasons but recently announced that he was moving on from the show to pursue other career desires. His final episode was a mix of emotional moments and, of course, lots of side-splitting humor. Gee, we are really gonna miss him.

Yang appeared in a Weekend Update with former cast member Aidy Bryant, who left SNL back in 2022. It was her first time returning since her departure, but she had to come back and give Bowen Yang a proper send-off and revive their Trend Forecasters beat.

But it was his final sketch that gave everyone the feels. In it, Yang played a Delta Airlines lounge employee alongside guest host Ariana Grande and the iconic Cher. It was the character’s last day on the job, and Yang couldn’t help but get a little emotional during a speech that served as a farewell.

“This is my last shift. It’s sad, I’m going to miss everything about this place, the way it smells, the celebrities that come through. Just last week, Josh O’Connor was here,” he said. The moment was extra special considering Yang and Grande are good friends as she told him that she wouldn’t miss his final shift for the world. We also saw them together in her opening monologue. Aww.

Another one of Yang’s final sketches was the very wonderfully weird Home Alone parody as one of Kevin McAllister’s cousins. In the end, Yang said that SNL will always be home to him. And maybe in a couple of years we will get the gift of him returning to that stage.
