BLOOD ON HER NAME Reveals Atmospheric Poster (EXCLUSIVE)

It’s rare to see a searing neo-noir that centers women, but Matthew Pope’s bleak and beautiful Blood On Her Name does just that to startling effect. The movie centers on a mother attempting to cover up an accidental murder whose plans are disrupted by her own moral compass. Before the film has its world premiere at Montreal’s iconic Fantasia Fest we’ve got a sneak peek at the official poster for the gorgeous crime thriller.

Starring Bethany Ann Lind (Ozark), Will Patton (Swamp Thing), and Elisabeth Rohm (American Hustle) Blood On Her Name tonally sits alongside recent cult modern indie flicks like Blue Ruin and Cold In July and if there’s any justice in the world will be spoken about in the same breath as those cult hits. It was one of the most talked-about films at Fantasia Fest. The hype was for good reason as we got to watch the film and it completely blew us away. You can get a feel more the flick in the teaser trailer below.

As the slick trailer showcases Blood On Her Name is an intense look at what one woman will do in an attempt to protect herself and her family in the worst-case scenario, but with an unexpected twist as she decides that she needs to return the man’s body to his family. Sitting somewhere between noir and southern gothic Blood On Her Name isn’t really like any other movie you’ll see this year and could become one of 2019’s breakout genre hits. We’re super excited for a bigger audience to see the film when it has its premiere tonight at Montreal’s Fantasia Film Fest. But wider audiences will have to wait a little longer to watch the brilliant and brutal noir thriller.
