Behold Dante’s Inferno…In Legos!

Powered by Geek & Sundry

We all had LEGOs as kids, right? With a few pieces of hard plastic and some imagination, we could build amazing things. And some not so amazing things. Hey we can’t all be Frank Lloyd Wright. As I hike my pants up to my chest, I fondly recall how LEGOs in my day were plain and solid colored. None of this fancy pre-made flashy stuff. Nowadays, you can get star destroyers and dinosaurs and ninja turtles all made for you. Ludicrous!

But every now and then, an artist will come along to create something that was not intended by the brilliant brains at LEGO. Meet Mihai Marius Mihu, a self-taught Romanian artist who decided to recreate nine circles of Hell from Dante’s Inferno.

With nearly 40,000 LEGOs.

Because he could.
