Avengers: Endgame is exactly one month away now, and we don’t think nerd fandom has been this anxious to see a resolution to a massive cliffhanger ending since Boba Fett took a frozen Han Solo away to Jabba the Hutt.
And as well all wait with bated breath for the supposedly three-hour epic to hit theater screens next month, fans have been making several tributes to the soon to be released final chapter of the first decade of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
One of the latest tributes comes in this fan-made trailer, called “The Unreachable Star,” which is cut to the Broadway classic from the play The Man of La Mancha, “The Impossible Dream (The Quest)”, as sung by the late, great Frank Sinatra in 1966. The trailer, which was made by a YouTube account called TheGaroStudios (via Geeks Are Sexy), shows us the tragic ending of Avengers: Infinity War’s so-called decimation, when several of our heroes got dusted. You can view the trailer in its entirety above.
The trailer then goes on to mix footage from Infinity War and all the Endgame trailers and TV spots released so far. As the song builds up with lyrics like “To fight the unbeatable foe/To reach the unreachable star, ” you can see why they chose this particular song. Sure, It’s a pretty somber start with all the dusted comrades and forlorn faces from the survivors , but don’t worry, as the trailer goes on, it’ll definitely leave you in cheering mode, and even more pumped and excited for Avengers: Endgame than you already were.
This same account has recently posted an equally cool video tribute to the character of Obi-Wan Kenobi from the Star Wars saga that fans might want to check out as well, along with several more, like a tribute to Game of Thrones’ Jon Snow.
