Did the Thanos Origin Novel Reveal AVENGERS 4’s New Villains?

Most of what we know about Avengers 4 can be summarized in one sentence: the movie will come out next year. That’s about it! Without an official title, synopsis, trailer, or even a photo, everything beyond “Marvel will release it in 2019” is just speculation. That’s why we’ve been scouring the universe looking for clues anywhere we can find them, and we might have found a big one in an unlikely place, the Thanos novel. This potentially spoilery edition of Nerdist News looks to unravel the mystery of who might prove to be an even greater threat to Earth’s mightiest than the Mad Titan.On today’s show Amy Vorpahl takes a look at an intriguing section from the end of the companion novel Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War: Thanos: Titan Consumed (so many colons!). While Thanos is talking to a character who knows a lot about the lore and creation of both the cosmos and the Infinity Stones, he asks why no one uses the true power of the stones. That leads to a reference to the “others,” a group even the Celestials are afraid of. Who could be so fearsome the most ancient beings in the universe are terrified of them?
