AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER Comes to ANIMAL CROSSING

It’s one of the most iconic opening sequences of all time. “Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. And now we can rejoice as it has been reimagined in the world of Animal Crossing: New HorizonsOpens in a new tab. It is just as cute and cool as you would expect.

Narrated by Katara, the clips showcase the history of the four nations in the cutesy guise of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. They capture every detail from the incredibly accurate costumes to the hilarious recreation of the action during the opening. We’re particularly enamored with just how well Aang’s goofiness fits into the island life of the game.

We’ve all been bingeing the awesome cartoon since it joined NetflixOpens in a new tab earlier in June, and this is a lovely combination of two of the things that have been bringing us a little happiness in the wilds of 2020. Plus it helps that it’s also just an incredible feat of creating things in Animal Crossing. Can you imagine how long it took to craft all those costumes and add in those super cute effects?!
