Arm Your Baby With This Sword Rattle

Powered by Geek & Sundry

Babyhood is a crazy experience for a human. Literally everything is a new experience for a baby, which can be overwhelming to say the least. Of course, it can be even worse if you aren’t armed for this life full of new things, so why not give your newborn a toy that doubles as a weapon?

Okay, so maybe this isn’t an actual weapon (I hear it’s a bad idea to give those to infants), but this toy is an awesome deviation from the norm of baby toys like animals and shapes. Instead of giving your kid a normal, boring toy, why not give your baby a sword-shaped rattle? Thanks to this tutorial from Targ’s Workshop, you can use a 3D printer to make your kid a toy perfect for playing, teething, and trial by combat. You know, #JustBabyThings. Check it out:

The rattle is safe for babies–no sharp, hard edges or parts that a baby could choke on. Of course the toy doesn’t sacrifice any awesomeness in its effort for making a baby-safe sword rattle. It’s so awesome that you might want to make yourself a sword rattle. No judgement here. If you want to get your baby ready for battle and whatever monsters might lie ahead, you can download the sword files on Thingverse.
