When characters walk or march in a Star Wars movie, dramatic music usually accompanies them. Whether it’s the sinister cadence of the Imperial March, or a triumphant bit of celebratory fanfare, John Williams makes every footstep count. But you may have wondered, because there have been years to wonder about every aspect of the Star Wars movies in the most minute of details, whether it absolutely has to be Williams. Does the music make the march, or the marching make the music?
Twitter user @realtraitorfinn has shared a montage of Star Wars characters from across the saga walking, to the sound of Queen‘s “Another One Bites the Dust,” and it absolutely works. From Luke and Han picking up the pace to get their medals to Darth Vader in his Rogue One castle, everyone who marches with purpose through a galaxy far, far away can be enhanced with some Freddie Mercury.

Were you ready? Were you ready for that? Were you hanging on the edge of your seat? Because we were. Now, can we replace the Ewok celebration song with “We Are the Champions” next? Or the Speeder Bike chase with “Bicycle Race”? There are a lot of possibilities here, but don’t feel “Under Pressure” to think of them all at once.
What other Queen songs do you think would work best with Star Wars? Give us your thoughts down below.
