A24 was only founded eight years ago, but it’s already one of our favorite entertainment companies. Its roster includes standouts like Lady Bird, Uncut Gems, Ex Machina, The Witch, Moonlight, Hereditary, The Lighthouse, and Midsommar. And that’s far from a complete list, which highlights how prolific A24 has been in such a short time. Which is why we’re all in on its newest endeavor: The company is releasing its first ever game. It’s an original RPG for its upcoming movie The Green Knight, one of our most eagerly anticipated films of the year.
And The Green Knight: A Quest for Honor comes with its own ’90s-style informercial.
A24’s debut game entry is a collaborative role-playing game that will combine what we love about D&D with creepy Arthurian Legend.
“Quest to the Green Chapel with your friends to fight the Green Knight, trudging through gnarled branches, dark foreign shadows, and a cold wind. You choose between five roles—Knight, Noble, Hunter, Sorcerer, Bard—and face a series of tests that test your honor. You can utilize melee combat, ranged combat, brawn, or choose the wiser course, resorting to mysticism or stealth to complete your tasks.”

The RPG also serves as an introduction to the film. It’s “a world of dark supernatural fantasy, where occult folklore and uncanny forces become more real the farther you stray from the castle.” If you haven’t seen the movie’s trailer yet, take a look below. It won’t take long to understand why we’re so excited for it.

Based on A24’s history the game will likely end up being one of our favorites of the year. The informercial for it is already one of our favorite ads of 2020.
