Square Enix’s TWO MOONS RISING Transforms LIFE IS STRANGE Universe Into a TTRPG Series

Square Enix and Deck Nine’s upcoming game Life is Strange: Double Exposure sounds like quite the adventure. It centers on Max Caufield, who tears open a pathway to a parallel timeline when she finds her friend Safi dead in the snow. The other timeline still has an alive Safi, thankfully, but she’s in danger and time is running out.

A supernatural murder mystery with a plethora of possibilities, Max must solve this case… if she can stay alive. Before Max Caulfield takes on this seemingly impossible mission, embark on an entirely different mystery set in this rich universe.

In celebration of the upcoming Life is Strange: Double Exposure, Square Enix partnered with Compadre to create Two Moons Rising, a two-part actual play TTRPG series that unfolds through the lens of the in-universe true crime podcast hosted by Loretta Rice.

The adventure takes place on the eve of a Blood Moon as a group meets at Devil’s Tower for a fun outing. Like Max in Double Exposure, the Two Moons Rising crew find themselves dealing with a mystery as murder ensues and exposed secrets threaten their futures. This thrilling, slow-burn mystery stars Ify Nwadiwe (Um, Actually), Aabria Iyengar (Worlds Beyond Number), Becca Scott (Good Time Society), Johnny Stanton IV (SINK! RPG) , and gamemaster Jasmine Bhullar (Relics and Rarities).
